Coordinating planning information and work interfaces.
During the 2018–2020 assignment with Areva at Olkiluoto 3, Primavera P6 schedules and departmental records supported reviews of work orders, testing interfaces and work status.
An integrated planning view
More than 18 000 Primavera P6 activities were managed across work orders, testing and permit-to-work processes. The integrated schedule provided a shared basis for reviewing work status and interfaces.
Connected departmental information
Information from 25 departmental spreadsheets and 36 000 ERP records was connected into centralised dashboards, bringing different sources into a common reporting environment.
Coordination across teams
Daily information updates and KPIs supported communication across 18 departments and more than 200 staff. The focus was on providing a usable view of the work and the information needed for coordination.
The value of integrated information is most visible at the interfaces: where one team’s readiness affects another team’s work.
Figures describe the scale of the assignment, rather than the overall project or a measured performance improvement.
